Join cast and crewmembers of the award winning “Boys of Bonneville - Racing on a Ribbon of Salt” premiere film screening on Saturday, August 20 at the Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Narrated by actor and Grand-Am driver Patrick Dempsey and featuring archival footage and interviews with a stellar list of car and racing aficionados including Jay Leno and Col. Andy Green, the current land speed holder, the film captures the amazing and untold story of David Abbott Jenkins who set out to break all existing land speed records on the Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah in his custom built, 4800-pound car.
Hosted by the 3rd Annual Carmel Art and Film Festival (October 12-16) tickets to the screening at 5:45PM are $10. For $75 enjoy the screening and a special guest wine reception beginning at 5 PM. Tickets will be available at the door (corner of San Carlos and Ninth Ave.) or can be purchased in advance at www.carmelartandfilm.com
