Dining on the Monterey Peninsula is a true pleasure. Great California wines, produced from the region, and incredible seafood are all a treat. The region is actually called “The Salad Bowl of the World”. Local vegetables such as artichokes, broccoli, asparagus and leafy greens grow well in the temperate climate. Monterey is not only a popular destination for car fanatics each August, it’s also extremely popular with tourists in general who may come from all over the world to visit 17-Mile Drive and the lone Cypress, so be sure to make reservations.
